HOOLEY DOOLEY #3
Noises from the 60s and the 90s for the 2020s…
Introducing the HOOLEY DOOLEY!
A dual fuzz inspired by J Mascis’ take on stacking fuzz pedals into one another, specifically having a Big Muff as the base tone and pushing into it with a Super Fuzz.
For a fresh take on this, the right hand side is a flexible fuzz circuit with a controllable octave, and a blendable fuzz control. This fuzz takes you from some grit over your clean tone, all the way to gated, searing, and wild octave overtones.
This flexible fuzz is usable on its own, OR can be pushing into a Russian-ish Muff. I say Russian-ish because it is not exactly to spec. I use a variety of high and low gain transistors, different ones for each pedal, to give each one a unique voice. I also used a variety of 1% and 5% tolerance resistors throughout the circuits to give them an individuality, while maintaining the same fingerprints across them.
In addition to having unique voices, each pedal is entirely handmade. I had the PCBs designed and printed from my schematics, BUT every component was soldered, every hole was drilled, and every letter is done entirely by myself.
This pedal is a labour of love from me to any and all fuzz aficionados out there, and I’d love to see it on your board one day because I’ve been gigging and recording with my original big box version for nearly a decade now, and I’d honestly be lost without it.
I hope that when you first show someone the tones within, they exclaim “HOOLEY DOOLEY!”

Power: 9v DC (standard center negative)/NO BATTERY CLIP, ~20mA
Warranty: I have full faith in the stability and longevity of the circuit, however if it stops working for any reason (besides you running too many volts, or reverse voltage, into it and destroying a few capacitors) and it’s not fixable by basic maintenance, then you can ship it back to me and I will fix it at the cost price of any components or hardware.Controls
